Attention is excellent, everything was very good. They bring you a caracu and pancito appetizer. We ordered the chinchulines, which were rich and very well presented, come with a fig sauce, in my personal opinion it is very sweet, I like the contrast with acid more. Then we asked for the smoked cut, two spectacular ribs that were smoked for 16 hours, a delicacy, the bone was released only from the meat and the meat w... View all feedback.
What Marietta Bodnár doesn't like about La Carnicería:
Great option to enjoy smoked argentinian meat, the appetizers are great. the place it's small but as long as you make the reservation you have your table ready. the waitresses are cool. If you like meat you can taste this great meat and taste something...different. the kitchen is open and you can see the process right there. View all feedback.
La Carniceria is a true BA find. Small menu, however every dish is a winner. We had the Provolone and Chorizo with fried eggs to start, both do creative and delicious! We split the pork chop which arrived bone in about 3.5 inches thick and the cabbage which is so creative and cravable! La Carniceria Rocks!!!!
Delicious small restaurant at Palermo. It is always busy, so you might have to wait a bit. The menu is small, few starters, 4 mains, 2 side dishes, around 10 options of wine. We have been twice, the best dish was the Corte Parrilla. Incredible big juicy and tasty chorizo. That one at the photos. We also had excellent morcillas. The sweetbreads are caramelised and I wasn't that impressed by them.I would recommend as the best meat I had in Buenos Aires.
We sat outside and although we did have a bit of a wait for service and the delivery of the food it was worth the wait. The steak is not what I was expecting and it appeared to look more like a family Sunday roast. There was a large amount of fat on the meat but I think it is necessary to for cooking and to add flavour. The steak itself was delicious as were all the other add-ons such as French fries. The wine was very good although a little more expensive than I expected. We had the Argentinian Malbec, very good.
For my last night in BA I wanted to try a spectacular Parilla and read that this is a special place. Focus on meat as in a traditional parilla, but served up with more interesting accompanying flavours, an intimate venue, smoked beef which is not often found and some great cocktails. Booked through Facebook to secure a spot (highly advisable) and started off with a cocktail. Attentive, knowledgeable service. Had the provoleta (fried cheese) for starters which was nicely smoky and came with a bit of greens and a chutney of sorts. Delicious! For the main I went for the smoked beef which is not often found in parillas. Huge portion of super tender beef falling off the bone. Heavenly flavour and the sides (cauliflower and a sweet potato puree) were excellent as well. If anything I'd have wanted a bit more sides and a tad less meat - it sure was an enormous portion. But paradise for a meat lover. The venue is located in Palermo and intimate with only a few tables and an open kitchen where you can watch the hipster chefs prepare huge chunks of meat. Mouth watering for carnivores
Everything on the menu is great. Classic dishes (mollejas, veggies asados, steak, provoleta) but with a unique twist that makes them special, and also absolutely delicious. An absolute must try!
