Seriously over rated given the indifferent food. My dried out ravioli (either old or undercooked) was drowned in a rather bland generic tomato sauce. However it was the tiramisu that left us shaking our heads. There was a clearly discernible chemical tang that neither of us could place. And I've eaten and made tiramisu numerous times over the years in various parts of Italy and elsewhere. Needless to say we didn't finish it - a world first! We figured out later that we'd seen the barman plating out the dessert. He'd earlier been cleaning all of the bottles that stack behind the bar with a cleaning spray and there may have been cleaning spray on the plate he used! They also substituted the wine we'd ordered with another without telling us until the end but we should have been more careful in checking. Overall not impressed

We even squeezed in a Tiramisu (100 pesos) for desert that again we enjoyed and was large piece we shared. We paid by credit card but if you pay in cash you get a 10% discount off menu price, note there is also a couvert of 35 pesos per person for service, which was impeccable and the bread basket to start was overly generous. Would recommend.
The three of us regretted coming here for lunch. Although the atmosphere was nice, the food was underwhelming. We had the ravioli with spinach, spaghetti puttanesca, and steak. The spaghetti was overcooked although we had asked for it al dente, and the sauce was strangely sweet. The steak which we had asked for to be medium rare was closer to medium well. Ravioli was decent, though covered in a cheese sauce that quickly congealed.Service was fine throughout the meal, but at the end the server was extremely aggressive and reminded us on three separate occasions that tip was not included with the meal and we could tip with cash only (since we paid with card). At one point he lifted the check up and rummaged through it seeming to look for the tip when we hadn't finished paying yet. We found this very off putting. Normally I am not picky about service at all, especially if the food is good, but in this case both were lackluster.

It’s the perception that does the damage. If someone who speaks Spanish could give them a call and fix the basic problems, please advise and I’ll consider returning. My previous review (a year ago to the day) was rather different!
Can be busy at lunch-time, with an extraordinary take-out trade. Efficient, quiet waiters know their jobs (& us, well!). A superb self-service salad bar (careful or you won't have room for more!) then a tempting array of pastas, beautifully cooked, with a range of sauces. Escalopes of veal to die for! Milaneses! Our No.1 lunch choice in BA. Almost No. 1 for dinner, too!
