What User doesn't like about gout cafe:
I came here one morning at our breakfast circuit near our hotel. This was a disappointment. very small portions of very simple food presented in a very simple way, also not so tasty (it applies to our 3 different orders). on the positive side, the coffee was good. View all feedback.
I was so excited to try out Gout and stun my family with me for dinner. The ambience of the café is great, and I thought all the servers were nice and efficient. I was a bit disappointed with the food. We ordered a Milanesa. It should be meat, but we got chickens. When I asked, she looked like they gave you chickens. Although I will say that she asked if we would agree with it or if we wanted something else. Then she went back to ask the kitchen, and apparently they were from the beef of Milanesas, so they just gave us chicken without letting us know. Not necessarily the waitress's fault, but we would probably have changed our order if we had known. The Milanesa itself was not bad. The chicken itself was pretty good, actually, but I was a big fan of bread (I found this to be true of other gf milanesa 's I 've tried but so it could be that I just not like Milanesa so much. However, the potatoes served with the Milanesa were solid. We ordered an Alfajor and that was fantastic. My mother and I loved it both. We have the chocolates that have been dipped outside in chocolate, dulce de leche on the inside! So I would suspect that their bakery products are more solid than their actual foods. I would come back for a quick snack or get a dessert, but probably not for a full meal.
You don't have many hearty options, but if you're looking for a cake or a sweet treat, then don't look further. All they sell is gluten-free and super tasty.
Chilled atmosphere, best gf sandwich I had to go in a while, good service and YUM Muffin. Very recommended.
I am gluten-intolerant and was beautifully surprised to find a gluten-free restaurant in Recoleta near where I was. Great sandwiches and dessert. There twice during a ten-day visit to Buenos Aires.
I was very excited to try this cafe, being celiac and seeing “medialunas” and “gluten free” on the front. Well. Once inside you learn they have no gluten free medialunas. The gluten free bread tasted drier and not as nice as the one I buy at the supermarket. The coffee was not good at all. I think the cakes might have been nice (hence the 3 stars), but I would not recommend for breakfast. The service was not even pleasant.
