In a city of meat and simple carbohydrates this is a jewel! I was so happy to have found a healthy, tasty, cheap place to eat!
In this area of Buenos Aires it is difficult to find a good restaurant. It is common to take away the business with questionable quality. Fresco seems to be a departure point, but it differs from the others with a NYC-style purpose and some places to stay. Good presentation and diversity. Don't expect much comfort. It was made for a fast meal. Hot dishes (large for winter), sandwiches and salads. It's above average.
I have visited this place twice both times I was disappointed... food lacked flavour and felt like I was paying for a brand rather than getting quality food. Service was good but I went the 2nd time as I thought maybe just wasnt a sandwich I liked. This time opted for the soup .. said it was time...no evidence of that ... like a watered down version...no spice , no fresh flavours... 2 gambas and some sprouts and a very small piece of chicken ...65 pesos for a cup a soup . Wont be going back....I guess hipster doesnt mean quality here :
We loved our meal. We were very tired of bread and steak. Here we can get great soups and delicious goulash. The smoothies and drinks were also wonderful. Quick to get food, but also nice comfortable area to sit and eat. It was our first well-made salad with Quinoa and we missed California style plants based foods.
