We were famished by the time we started our trek up Florida St from Plaza de Mayo so we stoped in at Cafe Florida (cool name). Good choice. Friendly, simple order process with excellent table service. I had the very good Milanesa de Ternera c/fritas and the excellent local Quilmes Beer. Nice Restroom too but its upstairs. What User doesn't like about Cafe Florida Street:
We called in for a quick tea and glass of wine. Really poor service - appear to dislike tourists! It took us ages to get served and then to get the bill. We then got over-charged. My wife speaks fluent Spanish and heard the waiters discuss how much they should over-charge us......Avoid! View all feedback.
Florida Café This coffee despite its name, is located on Florida Street, is on Tucumán Street in downtown Buenos Aires. a small cafe, where lunches are served during the day, I had the opportunity to have lunch at the Café de la Florida and quite likes the food, there are several options, you have to say that most of the meat, by the way, that eats the meat, you will find many options in Buenos Aires, with experience executive menu, with first dish, second dish and dessert at a promotional price, we really enjoy, homemade food, well seasoned and meat. In another afternoon, I was in Caf Florida to have a coffee to warm the cold of Buenos Aires, very good too, although they always find the coffees of Buenos Aires a bit weak, one of São Paulo, that takes a lot of coffee, this flaw.
Amazing classic coffee shop, great atmosphere, don't miss it

Just a block off of Florida, this is a great place for a meat pie and a beer. They do a nice espresso and the pasta is quite good. There are better places for steak, but was pretty good. Ate there twice.
This was pretty much the closest restaurant to our hotel. We both had a rib steak, with fries and tomato salad. The meat was cooked just right, and tasted pretty good. A bottle of house white and we were very satisfied with our meal. Average prices for the area, around 400 pesos including a small tip.
