What Matías Lucero doesn't like about Bar de Cao:
View all feedback.
How many travelellers to Buenos Aires are reminded of grocery stores/pubs in their own countries which are long gone and whose memory are only preserved in photographs. Well, here is a blast from the past with with heaps of nostalgia.it is like walking into a...grocery store cum pub of my childhood. In this bodegon, hams and sausages hang from the ceiling. Bottles of wine line the back wall behind the long counter which has an old fashioned functioning meat slicer. Order picadas of cheese and olives and assorted meats if you are not a vegetarian. Ask for a bottle of house Malbec and prepare yourself for a real treat. Early evening around will secure you a choice of tables. Come at ten and you will have to take pot luck. It is a short taxi ride from Callao and corrientes. Put it in your list.
