Being a vegetarian in Buenos Aries is not an easy option. At least here at American Diner they did a very tasty cheese and tomato toasted sandwich in 'English bread' (ie sliced) and was cheap considering it was two rounds. What Eylaugur Hræreks doesn't like about American Deli:
First a warning! Don't sit on the terrace. We don't know how it was done, but one of our bags was snatched. And we are experienced travellers. Many people walk by this terrace so we were alert, but still. A young lady next to our table had her bag on her lap all the time. So you better sit inside.Decent food for a decent price. If you are looking to fix your coffee cravings with quality , we'll go and visit the American Deli in Buenos Aires. Your coffee fix starts as you stand in front of your barista, because very quickly your nostrils pick up the scent of your freshly brewed coffee ... that distinctive smell of freshly brewed coffee! ....as you watch with anticipation, your coffee is made with quick and efficient timing by the very skilled and friendly staff. The bonuses is not only the taste of the coffee itself, also your choice of the lovely little treats to accompany your brew....

The food, although tasty and very reasonably priced came second to the main attraction of people watching. The locals set up craft stalls, some of which are not even stalls and just blankets on the pavement and it is perfect for watching the hustle and bustle of the city, especially around lunchtime when all the office workers are flowing by. We sat outside under big red umbrellas but there is plenty of inside seating with air con too.
We ate outside for lunch on s beautiful day. Ordered two dif pasta dishes and pork dish for my son. All good was good for a reasonable price. Warning beers only come in 1 litre bottles not a bad idea to share one.
Should've known better. Not that bad, but Grilled chicken sandwich on stale pita bread. Should've tried the crepe instead, but won't be a next time.
