All That Food - Buenos Aires

All That Food is a casual cafe on corner of Marcelo T de Alvear, in Recoleta, just down from Design Suites. They have lots of tasty vegetarian options if you feel like a break from meat. One meal I had was a blackboard special of two courses, so I had a vegetarian tart with salad, dulce de leche pancake and a glass of wine. Another time I had chicken, and everything was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, due to the very helpful, bubbly girl from Venezuala. Everything looked great there,

Half block walk from Design Suites hotel. Excellent selection of sandwiches if you want a break from beef. Had a good chicken, avocado, lettuce and sun dried tomato sandwich. Wife had smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich. Both were excellent with fresh bread (might have been home made). Also had a selection of salads and pizza. Was about $22 US including sodas.

My wife and I ate at All That Food in March 2014. An exceptional experience on all counts! Decor is attractive and professional, but still funky-fun. Welcome (by Deanna, the manager ) was warm and friendly - she made an extra effort to translate the menu for we poor "espanol poquitos", and the Veal Milanese that she recommended was excellent - a large portion of tender veal, with melted cheese lightly dusted with herbs that was just strong enough to complement the meat without overpowering it.Prices were very reasonable (to my Canadian eyes) - the Menu del Dia was 73 pesos (about US$8) and included a glass of wine, your choice of 3 entrees (veal, chicken or pasta) and a dessert (I chose dulce de leche ice cream). Highly recommended!

We were in BA to visit the wedding of our Rotary exchange student daughter 12 years ago. We stayed at nearby AQ Tailored Suites (also excellent) and had our last meal in Argentina here before you went to the airport. Everything was fresh and... delicious! Portions are generous and there are even some vegetarian options. If you are in the Recoletta area, stop. You will not be disappointed!
