A Gusto Y Piacere - Buenos Aires

While strolling the streets of pretty Buenos Aires, we stumbled across this little place. They serve fresh made sandwiches, empanadas and tartas. We just wanted an empanada each to tide us over til dinner. There were quite a few people inside, so it made us think it was a good place to eat. We were right. They heated up our Jamon Y Queso empanadas and we sat outside on the bench to eat them. There were delicious and cheap! At 15 pesos, they were a little over a dollar US each. They could have sold them for 3 times the price and it still would have been excellent value. Flaky pastry and a good amount of filling. I've had empanadas with hardly any filling in them but this place doesn't skimp on that.So glad we came across this lucky little find.

Best food in downtown Buenos Aires. The place is always busy and the food is always hot. Going to miss this place.

I have eaten many times at this Av. De Mayo 818 and at the shop on Tucuman 463 near Florida walking street. Made to order sandwiches using all fresh ingredients served on white or wheat baguette style bread. Delicious, fresh salads and homemade soups. Also tasty tarts (quiches), and baked empanadas. Staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient. Food is for take-away only so maybe that is one reason prices are lower than you would expect to pay for such great quality fresh food!

Looking for a place to have a late breakfast, we found this sandwich shop. All sandwiches are freshly prepared, very tasteful and very cheap. The coffee and cappuccino were also good, so everything in all we really had luck finding so... place. I would really recommend it!
