El Gecko Beach Club - Buenos Aires

El gecko is a charming little wrench place for dinner. the personal was always cheerful and attentive and the food and drinks are of good quality. we usually go a little early and didn't have to wait for a table. that is...lovely and we have seen how wale spouten at some places.

We are on our honeymoon and come back here. oscar was super great and eating was amazing. guacamole made directly at the table. delicious queen. drinks were great and all on the sea side. in any case it is worth going.

This is a vegan based review... We ordered veggie fajitas, no cheese, no sour creat etc. Even though onion rings aren’t usually vegan, I ordered them anyway. The craving hit, and I was on vacation, so sue me. They delivered a hot steamy plate of...round fried things. The oil smelled a little fishy, but they serve mostly seafood so I continued towards my mouth. I bit into a calamari ring. Gross. And after that being gross, it took a lot of language barrier communication to explain the difference between onion and squid. And finally, at least ten minutes later, an explanation that they are out of onion rings. That’s fine, I didn’t want them that bad, but don’t bring a fried animal to a table full of vegan food. The fajitas were OK. Over priced for what they are, but the view is nice on the beach. The margaritas were substandard too. No salt even though we asked for it. We are here during Covid, and the only customers in the place, and the town is desperate for business. You would think they could serve their only customers well. This place is pretty over rated in my opinion. I’m sure the seafood is great, but we don’t eat that. The drinks should be better, but they aren’t that good. Overall, the experience was more disappointing than good.

The views are amazing and the staff was super friendly. We went for drinks and I have to say they had the best Mojito we ever had. Second only to Mojitos on Cozumel. This is a laid back beach bar and grill and was...worth the hour drive from Cabo to go and hang out.

Stopped in for dinner one evening. Nice open air setting at edge of beach. This place will be busy on holidays. Group reservations are doable, saw that happening. Food and service were good. Only downside I saw was people’s untrained pets either on site or...coming in from street. Not a bad thing but it will happen.
