Good Place - Buena Vista

I have been there twice in the last 3 weeks the first time I ordered the fried catfish dinner with fries and green beans it was a to go order and when I got home they had forgotten my fries. The second time I ordered out again I ordered the fried catfish fries and vegetable medley the fried catfish was suppose to have been breaded like the last time I ordered it but it wasn't it was just seared and slightly under cooked I couldn't eat it but my dog loved it. tired of wasting money and time eating there when the people taking your order cant give you their undivided attention and pay attention to details to correctly write down your order and prepare it correctly and to make sure you receive everything you ordered. I was told by the owner that they had put a bid on my companies Christmas dinner I can only imagine what that would be like. don't get me wrong the food is good if you get it all and the way u ordered it. We pulled off of I81 and looked for a small town diner in Buene. This is really good. I had a wonderful club sandwich, and the wife had a grilled fish sandwich with asparagus. Key lime dessert. Highly recommended, relaxed, friendly.

Food is really good but as I type this review I can count 13 flies buzzing around my plate. Get it to go...

I do not love outside dining, but our meal was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Our 17 month old loved the atmosphere, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I had the crab legs and loved them. They were a lot better than more expensive restaurants. On the negative side, with it being outdoors, I could smell some cigarette smoke from the occasional smoker.

My husband and I just celebrated our Anniversary at Good Place , which should have been named Great Place . This is where Franks For the Memories used to be, in Buena Vista. We wanted to go someplace special for our anniversary, and since this is new, we thought we 'd give it a try. WOW! The food was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the outside atmosphere, and although it was a bit chilly outside tonight, the butane heaters made us feel warm and cozy. The service was great, and the shrimp dishes, (particularly the coconut shrimjp with the Mango-to-die-for dipping sauce), sauteed green beans, baked potato, cornbread were fantastic!!! This is a farm to table kind of restaurant, which must be why it was so delicious. We feel really lucky that we tried something new tonight. I 'm excited to eat there again!
