Contribute FeedbackClaim Jumper on Beach Blvd near Knotts Berry Farm received mixed reviews from customers. While some diners were disappointed with the cold and unsatisfactory food, others praised the large portions and delicious dishes served. The service was a major point of contention, with delays in seating, long waits for orders, and inattentive waitstaff being major issues. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also a concern for some patrons. Despite these setbacks, some guests enjoyed their meals and highlighted the attentive service of certain staff members. The restaurant handled unexpected situations professionally, leaving a favorable impression for some customers.
We started out seated at the bar. Our table was ready on time. The service was excellent. This was a 'first date ' and we didn 't notice the restaurant had closed! Yet nobody said anything about us having to leave. When we realized the time, and that the restaurant was empty, we also realized how nice it was of them to let us stay! Highly recommended!
The food was great. The steak I ordered was excellent, cooked the way I wanted it. The service though took a very long time. I understand that the server has a lot of tables but refills and checking us took a long time.
Our dining experience was terrible. Got seated no service till 15 minutes later then was told what we wanted to order wasn’t available(sirloin steak) Which 3 of us were going to order. We didn’t want the waiter to leave without us ordering because we didn’t know when he would return. It took another 15 minutes+ for our drinks to come. Thank god the food was decent. But no silverware was given to us so had to wait awhile to get the waiter to come back to ask for silverware. He never checked on us while eating. We were done for awhile but still no waiter. Finally got the check I put my card to pay but waited another 15 minutes and counting still no waiter so I decided to pay cash just so we can leave at that moment. Never saw the waiter again. We wont be coming back to this location again.
Homeless man with no shoes right in front of entrance. Poor service, no greeting. Hostesses engaging in personal conversations while we waited with reservation. Seated in a booth behind large party. Table was dirty, sticky. We were not greeted by server, had to enlist help of hostess again who appeared to be bothered we asked. Food was not hot, poor quality. We have gone to this location many times prior to Covid and was always great. We will not be back.
We visited Claim Jumper because we hadn’t dined there in a long time and I had Landry’s gift cards that I thought I’d be able to use there (I checked on the Landry’s website and it said it was valid at the time). Upon checking in there was a sign at the host stand that said they were no longer accepting them. It took awhile for our server to stop by to take our drink and meal orders, then longer still for our food order to come out. My son ordered a cup of clam chowder, the food runner brought out our food and said that they would bring his soup out shortly. We waited for about 5-10 minutes (fortunately I was sharing some of my salad with him), when our server came out to check on us, we informed her that his soup was never brought out. The quality of service there was lacking, and I think we’ll go elsewhere next time.
