I love such places. what this restaurant lacks in interior and exterior design makes it in food flavor, worth and service. they have an amazing selection from burgers to sandwiches to Mexican food. the fried zucchini was delicious and plentiful. burger was Spot-on and gyro was great. I used to come here back in high school. The sausage burrito tasted good but it was so greasy today I had to throw it away and the prices are way too high! I paid $10 and change for a greasy greasy burrito with barely any cheese. Are you guys cooking with lard? I can go to this other place and order the same thing for $3 cheaper. With no grease! Advertised as the best breakfast burrito in O.C. The breakfast burrito was mediocre at best. But definitely not anything special. Ordered a soda to accompany my meal. Finished the soda have way through the meal. No drink refill. WHAT?? Had to purchase another soda for 2.60. Had to pay 5.20 just for soda for one person. Yes that is not a typo...... Over 5.00 for one person to drink soda. Totally unacceptable. Paul's place one block away is just as good and doesn't charge for drink refills. Farmer Boys one block away as well does not charge for drink refills. You will definitely have a better dining experience if you avoid this place.

Much cheaper, bigger portions, and definitely not greasy!
Whats all the hype about a breakfast burrito. I've had better breakfast burritos in no name food trucks in Los Angeles. The salsa is what you can buy in a Mexican market, and literally they just threw in cheese bacon sausage and ham and call it a breakfast burrito. Came out to 14 dollars with a drink. And no refills. First and last time here
Is like a american/Mexican/ Greek Dinner. Aesthetics is outdated from the outside and inside. but the food is bomb. Friendly service and fast. Ranch is homemade. You could put it on a piece of cardboard and it will be delicious. Patio Dining available. 10-15 min walk from Knotts. Good prices.
I have been coming to Athener since I was 16 years old, frequently visiting Knot and La Palma. During my recent trip to California, I returned to Athener where I had fond memories of past visits. It was heartwarming to see familiar faces from my teenage years and be welcomed with love. The food was as delicious as always and the service was top-notch. I look forward to visiting again and catching up with the Athenians!
