We bought a take home selection of pies all of which were really good – ample proof the Oz pie rules – well priced and thoroughly enjoyed with mash, mushy peas and a cold beer– working mans heaven. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Banjo's Bakery:
After visiting Banjos in Tasmania, we were excited by the prospect of having this bakery close to home. We went there for morning coffee and we were very disappointed. The coffee was so bad that we couldn't drink it and my wife had a date scone that was not only hard but had a piece of gravel (no, not a seed) in it and thought she had cracked a tooth. Hopefully these are just teething problems but we will not be going... View all feedback.
This restaurant used to be amazing, with a wide variety of menu options and excellent service. However, there has been a recent decline in quality. The menu has been significantly reduced and the service has deteriorated. It was shocking to experience a 20-minute wait for coffee, despite there only being two customers in the restaurant at 10 a.m. The scallop cake was dry and the cauliflower cheesecake did not even contain cauliflower.
This restaurant is awful! After reading a review that perfectly described my own experience today, I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone. The customer service is nonexistent. We waited to be served and were completely ignored twice until I had to speak up to let them know we were next. People who came in after us were served before us, and the young man working there was very rude. The staff needs to pay more attention to who is next in line. Another older lady finally came out to serve us after I had to speak up again. The food selection is disappointing and everything looks stale. My cake was cold and they didn't even have tomato sauce available. I will definitely not be returning to this place when there are better options out there.
Sunday, 17. January 2021. Nowhere on their website or cafe wall I could see the prices of their pieces. You're great Pies, no problem. But over $85.00 for a dozen pieces to feed me, and my daughter's family was a little...Steep I thought?
We ordered a beef cake and a Curried Chicken Pie at this restaurant. The pastry was fantastic and the filling was full of flavor. They offer a variety of pies to choose from. We also tried the mushy peas and they were delicious.
Banjo's has a range of sandwiches, baked pies sausage rolls etc and dessert slices as well as fresh baked breads and pastries, hot and cold drinks..We have eaten here a number of times and it has always been good but at the moment they have...a Bangers and Mash pie that is delicious and very filling. Not the cheapest but this pie is really good $6.95).. They could do being a little warmer but there is a lot of sausage and mash and it has peas too. We recently got their caramel slice and it is delicious too. I used to get the trio of party pie, mini sausage roll and a mini pizza which cast about the same as a meat pie and it was always good but the Bangers and Mash Pie is better. A nice place for coffee or a cold drink and a lunch or snack. Worth a visit
