Booking only on a Thursday night, we were glad however to get a late booking to be seated downstairs. Basically this is a foyer with 2 tables. Food was okay, menu limited, chicken and waffles were very good, staters all great. Issues were with the service, very very slow also the beer was pretty awful. Price was £160 for 2 adults, 2 children. Staff were all very pleasant. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Chicken and Waffles

The food was absolutely delicious, even for 2 fussy kids they loved the chicken and waffle. We had the fish of the day which was cooked to perfection. The service however left a lot to be desired. We were treated as though they were doing us a huge favour by being there. We had to chase deserts and when we asked about them (2 scoops of ice cream for the kids) we received a monotone response that the kitchen was too busy and basically we’d just have to wait. As the waiter walked away we were so astounded at the response , we just laughed tbh as it was like teenage kid was talking to us. Genuinely bizarre how such nice places hire staff who just don’t seem to care at all about the customer’s experience when you’re paying a lot of money for the food. Probably wouldn’t return based on the service. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Scotch Egg, Chicken and Waffles
