We really enjoyed our dinner in the shady garden of Náncsi Néni's. My fish soup was tasty and plentiful, my friend loved the Sunday chicken soup (even though it was a Tuesday) and I had the biggest Sweet cottage cheese dumpling in the history of Sweet cottage cheese dumplings, which was incredibly light in spite of its dimensions!! Been here about 5 times. I really don't get what the fuss is about this place. I mean it's okay. Just because the place is old doesn't mean it's good. Maybe it's old because there was simply no other family restaurant around it for a long time. There's one meal I really like (turkey with berry sauce! but other ones are just okay. The service is okay. The vibe is okay. Everything is okay. Maybe next time I visit I mig... View all feedback.
We were very excited to come here because of Mark Wiens YouTube video review. Came in at around 2pm on Sunday. The place was somewhat filled but we were seated inside quickly. We ordered white and red wines according to the waiter’s suggestions and the famous goulash soup, duck leg with liver and the stuffed cabbage dish. Goulash shop was amazing but the Duck was very dry which was a huge disappointment. Probably it was left in the oven too long. Stuffed cabbage was good. When we told them that we’re paying with card, the bill came with 15% tip included in the total which was no problem. We paid and left the restaurant but later found that they overcharged us! I only had one glass each of Etiyeki white wine and Riesling wine, but they charged two each. They also charged two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon for my husband although he only had one. It is disgraceful of them to trying to take advantage of the tourists, and this is the kind of characteristics that can define the overall impression of your country, especially because this restaurant is not some street vendor but an established, very well known and otherwise respectful business that people wouldn’t expect this kind of cheating. They probably thought we wouldn’t figure it out because we don’t speak Hungarian, but they’re mistaken. If you go there, make sure to check your bill before you pay. Deeply disappointed.

Delicious food, good, friendly and courteous service. Prices are reasonable for the quality and large portion sizes. Very nice outdoor space with shade from large trees and an areas for kids to have fun and play. A little tough to find if you've never been in the area but it's well worth it to track it down if you want to enjoy a great dinner. Highly recommended!
They have around double price of an average restaurant, but the quality is higher too. They really know how to cook. Staff is professional and nice above expectation.
