What a horrid experience we had with this restaurant and one particular server. The restaurant is nicely decorated and full of people. We were very excited to try it bc of good reviews. From the moment we sat down it took almost 10 minutes before the female server came and said “you know what u want”. Her attitude was extremely rude although we have not had any interactions with her. It got worse as evening became more and more unpleasant. She kept ignoring us and never asked us if the foods were good or anything. Couple other servers who delivered the foods were nice. The foods were mediocre but the service was extremely bad. We tried to flag her down for the bill and she just walked by ignoring us. Finally my friend tap her on the arm to get her attention and she was upset that he did that. Had to get the manager who stated that it was her english causing the problem. She had no problems nicely dealing with surrounding tables speaking English. We should have left from the start. We have traveled the world over and this was the first time that I can remember being so disrespected and rude by someone in any sort of industry especially restaurant. I’m sure you will find other nice servers at the restaurant but I cannot say the foods was worth the hassles!!
Mazel Tov – A heartwarming experience with incredible food and live music I didn’t make a reservation in advance (though I definitely recommend doing so! , but I must’ve been incredibly lucky — I just walked in, the line wasn’t too long, and after waiting maybe 15–20 minutes max, I was given a perfect table right in the center of the restaurant, next to the live musicians. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better seat — the atmosphere was just magical. The waitress team was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive, even though the place was almost full. There’s a live band playing, and the vibe of the whole place is absolutely beautiful — warm, alive, soulful. It truly feels like being welcomed into a loving, joyful family that actually cares how you feel while you’re dining. As for the food — it was delicious. Everything is halal, and I ordered the beetroot hummus and the cauliflower, and I was very happy with both. When I asked to take the rest to go, the waitress thoughtfully added a fresh, warm pita bread to the takeaway bag — such a nice and caring touch that really stood out. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff checked on me with a smile, asking if I enjoyed everything, and I truly felt cared for — even though I was dining alone. That says a lot. I would absolutely recommend visiting Mazel Tov at least once, even if Israeli cuisine isn’t your go-to — go for the atmosphere, for the music, for the soul of the place. It’s a rare and beautiful experience. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What gives this restaurant 4 star is for me the combination of decoration, atmosphere and the food. Not too many vegan options but the dish I had, hummus bowl with eggplant instead of egg, was delicious.
Mazel Tov is a trendy restaurant in the heart of the party district. As well as Middle Eastern food, they serve fancy cocktails and have a decent-sized drink list too. The restaurant itself is like a covered garden within the shell of an old ruin building. There's a beautiful big tree in the middle with pretty lights to create a lovely ambiance. It's a very big restaurant space with a mostly young clientele. We went on a night that offered a vegetarian special for 3,000 a person (before tax and all but two items were vegan) which consisted of a bowl of hummus topped with falafel and various fixings (such as Yemeni-style mushrooms, tabouli, rice salad, and chickpeas). Looking at the a la carte menu, I saw there were other vegan options such as soups and small plates. While the food was really tasty, it was a little pricey for what you got (the drinks are even more expensive) but it's a great place to go if you are going out with non-vegans and for its cool ambiance.
