Was DonaldMcAninch at Igen a mag?
Apparently one of the few pizzerias in Hungary certified for the authenticity of its Napolese-style pizza. Lived up to the credential for sure. House-made lemonade and desserts are definitely worth a try, too. Updated from previous review on 2022-07-27 View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Igen:
igen (which means in Hungarian) offers delicious, incredibly thin pizzas. 9 of their pizzas are vegetarian, most of them can be veganized. they offer vegan mozzarella against price. they can also make their cappuccino with plant mylk. their knives are however not suitable to cut pizza. It was one of the best I had in a long time. Great ingredients and well done. Updated by previous review on 2021-11-12
I was curious to come here after seen this place here at HappyCow. The pizzas were pricy and especially with vegan cheese (300ft extra) so I expected something special. There were more or less only three pizzas that could be made vegan. When the pizza came it was burned, few ingredients and tasteless. The waiter didn’t come and check if we liked them and were not very active in general. When we wanted to pay the waiter got annoyed because we needed to split the bill (2 persons) and barely said bye when we left. A very unpleasant expensive experience. Don’t recommend it.
I ate pizza marinara, it was so delicious . Coffee, pizza, lemonade is taste like a piece of Napoly. : Updated from previous review on 2021-09-28
Apparently one of the few pizzerias in Hungary certified for the authenticity of his Napolese style pizza. Lives safely until filing date. Homemade lemonade and desserts are definitely worth a try. Updated by previous rating on 2022-07-27

Not only the pizza but also the place is very napolitana Updated from previous review on 2022-11-22
Pizza is tasty, they have a few where you can swap for vegan cheese, also have wholegrain option. sadly you have to pay extra for both modifications

Everything was sooo delicious! I ordered the marinara with extra vegan cheese. Finally a vegan cheese that is fenomenal! Fantastic taste and texture. Also the dough and the tomato sauce.. Wow. It's a must try. The basil-strawberry lemonade was also really good. It's advised to book in advance though, cause they can be full.

For this price the pizzas were mid to low quality the toppings where alright but the dough it self felt heavy and not fermented properly). I was waiting for something more special due to the little board that said AVPN . The atmosphere was similar to a waiting room at the doctor's office and the cherry on top was unbearable loud child screaming. It's not bad for a business lunch, not amazing just alright. I expected more from an AVPN quality pizza and Great vibes. If you're looking for quality you can find way better places than this. Had high hopes, left disappointed. Maybe next time. A real Italian pizzeria in Budapest. Thin dough and excellent and delicious cheese. There is no doubt that they make good pizza here with quality ingredients. The pizza is baked in a brick oven in front of the diners. Not expensive, highly recommended Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
We’ve been here twice. In a row! I think it says a lot on how much we appreciated the food in this pizzeria. Quite expensive but I have to be honest, everything is expensive in this city so nothing too crazy and it’s worth the price. Menu is great, plenty of options for vegetarians/vegan as well. Our goal is to try all the pizzas before saying which one is the best but so far (as a vegetarian) the white pizza is much better than a red pizza. The tomato sauce as a base disappointed the first time we came, much better with the quattro formaggi or the truffle pizza, both white pizza bases. Sad that there’s no chilli oil. Service is ok, the best part here is the food so THANK YOU SO MUCH PIZZA CHEFS FOR YOUR HARD WORK!
