Someone commented, "the courtyard was unbearably stinky...". Let me just say, the courtyard is part of the forest. Getting to the point: I have never found the smell of the dishes cooking in the pot, or the smell of the forest, to be stinky. It must have been the smoke that was smelly, which is easy to avoid.
