Always great experiences at Uptown Restaurant in Bucharest. For many years, if we want to celebrate an event or just relax and eat exceptionally well, we have only one choice: Uptown Restaurant. It became part of our house. Very friendly and well-trained staff, excellent kitchen, great atmosphere. A place where we unite our family after long trips. You do not feel welcome if you are not one of the regular customers. The food is good, but the service is worse than in a shopping center restaurant. The waiters do not look at you and the restaurant is a professional but sad women due to routine. The food comes relatively slowly considering that you are in a hurry at lunch. I was not impressed and overall the quality decrease vs a few years ago.

We got here too late for Sunday brunch but found a lunch menu offerring creative modern dishes with flavours from around the world. The atmosphere is relaxed in a quiet (unsure about weekdays), leafy street with grand old homes consulates. I had a spinach leaf salad with strawberries, goats cheese, balsamic hazlenuts followed by the tuna steak encrusted with sesame drizzled in a tangy sweet chilli lime sauce with soba noodles cucumber. The meal was expensive but that was expected. Both meals were delicious very well presented. Service was prompt polite as well. It's worth a visit if you enjoy quality food -I'd love to go back try their other meals next time I visit.
