Despite a few positive aspects, the overall s... read more I recently visited La Mama with a group of nine people, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Despite a few positive aspects, the overall service and food quality left much to be desired. Cons: Upon arrival, nobody in the restaurant greeted us. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. Our waiter had a noticeable attitude, behaving as if we had somehow inconvenienced him. To our horror, we found a fly in one of the salads we ordered. This was extremely off putting and raised serious concerns about the hygiene and quality of the food. Although the salad was replaced, our trust in the quality of the vegetables had already plummeted to zero. To add insult to injury, we were charged for the salad that had the fly in it! This was utterly unacceptable and showed a lack of accountability from the restaurant. Pros: The waiter did find a place for us by merging tables, accommodating our group of nine. We received English menus as requested, which was helpful. We were given a complimentary cake, albeit poorly executed, as a gesture for the insect found in the salad. A tripe soup that tastes bad is inexcusable in a traditional restaurant. I can say that the location is very good, the terrace...is nice and other dishes may provide a better experience. I hope :
