It 's either not true or the persons were... read more This place is truly traditional Romanian. To start off: don 't go from the last couple of reviews here on Tripadvisor. It 's either not true or the persons were having a bad day or something. But this place is a true gem. I am not lying. I ate here twice (end of last year and last summer and it was good and absolutely not overpriced: actually lower-priced that most other restaurants in Bucharest. 'Copac ' means actually Oak tree, and La Copac means ' at the oak ' (of course it refers where you 're sitting at in the garden . The garden/terrace is nice and authentic, a 'free breath ' in the middle of busy Bucharest. On Sundays, often a 'taraf ' act is playing there, giving it an even more authentic and romantic vibe. Inside it 's traditional, how it is decorated but also the food.Good food, friendly service, BUT YES: you cannot pay by card. Well, just be prepared then. Some places just are more traditional and/or just don 't have this option (just like back in the days, nothing wrong with that . I only heard that the cook that worked here until about December '21/January '22, is not there anymore, so I would have to check out this place once again (which is not a punishment at all . We went to lunch at 2 a.m. on Sunday, and the praised dishes of the day, very promisingly cooked by the gate, in large outdoor pots were only shades of hearty dishes that should have been. I had to go out and withdraw some cash money, which was not convenient to me because that means I had to pay extra fees. 2) They have a broad gamut of dishes in their menu but run out of ingredients easily, therefore you're forced to choose from 3 or 4 options.
