DELICATESE FLORESCU (Delicacies of Florescu) is a small coffee shop opened in 2010 by Gheorghe Florescu, author of the bestseller book ”The Confessions of a Coffee Trader” (2008). Easy to find on a small street opening from Rosetti Square, close to University and the National Theatre.Mr. Gheorghe Florescu inherited the coffee art from the famous Armenian coffee trader of Bucharest Avedis Carabelaian, following an Armenian tradition since 1530. The ancestors of Avedis Carabelaian served at the Court of the Ottoman Sultans. Mr. Florescu himself has over 40 years of experience in this field and lots of artists, writers and public figures are his customers. Here you find the best coffee varieties in Bucharest, from cheap to very exclusive, roasted and ground on the spot by Mr. Gheorghe Florescu. You can find a variety of the best coffee beans in the world but also fine wine, brandy, rum, tea and chocolate, sweets and nuts, selected books and CDs, to buy for home or for gifts. Wonderful atmosphere and conversation with the owner on the art of coffee. You can also taste a cup of coffee in the shop. A place to visit and enjoy in the very centre of Bucharest. A must for coffee lovers.

The shop incarnates a spirit of snobbery ; it gathers fresh artisans gourmet and delicatessen from local suppliers and from around the world. Unfortunately, the staff (customer service) is arrogant and disrespectful; a grimace of a smile or finer diplomacy is highly recommended . The place is a blend of quality (not luxury), of rare gastronomic acquisitions, expensiveness and of an apogee of irritation over a poorly mannered staff.
There you can find the best coffe in Bucharest prepared by mister Florescu! We will come back again!
