What Lisa Gunter doesn't like about The Pelican Reef:
Had a sweet tea bath on Friday night! The server that did it apologized and brought us napkins to dry up the mess but I never saw anyone from management on duty during the mess! Our food was good but it's hard to enjoy eating when you are soaking wet on half your body! I think we were even charged for the tea that was dumped on me! View all feedback.

Not busy on Sunday afternoon which was okay with my wife and I! We both got the shrimp taco which was pretty good. Would go back!
The atmosphere is my only complaint. The staff are friendly, and the food is good, but your enjoyment will likely depend on whether or not you can stand the smell of cigarette smoke that will meet your nose as you walk through the door. They have solid facilities and a boat launch, and refueling area for your boat's gas tank so it definitely has its place. But if all you're really looking for is good sea food, there are better options in the area that don't come with the smell of cigarettes. Parking: Finding parking isn't too difficult, but maneuvering is a challenge. Backing out of parking spaces can be difficult as it gets busy due to narrow isles and trucks with boat trailers that take up a wide area. Wheelchair accessibility: It's got a very good and gentle sloping ramp for wheel chair access.
Not fancy, but the oysters were outstanding fresh and briny. Ate there twice in one week of vacation, so that says a lot. Very sweet and helpful service. Decent wine and beer selection. Dogs allowed in the outdoor area! Great view. Definitely will go back.
