However, the air conditioning unit was not working properly, which made the room extremely humid. This made it difficult to sleep, and I ended up losing a few hours of sleep. The room was also a little overpriced, but I understand that this is the nature of the situation when there is a teacher's conference going on.

Also the breakfast is not all great. No fresh bacon, eggs, biscuits, or chocolate milk. They had heated up frozen bagels, croissants, and biscuits. The breakfast room is small and always busy as hell in the mornings. Only have two waffle makers and they are so slow; Need at least four or more. Also need more tables and chairs in the breakfast room.Safety: Sketchy people outside and also homeless.

Did online check in with digital key on the app since we knew we would get in around 3am.When we got to our room per our digital key, the room was as shown in the video plus a very nasty smell. I called the front desk and was told the system had me checked into a different room and not this one as this one was in “dirty” status and she was unsure how that occurred.I was asked to come back downstairs for keys to my actual room. I was upset but this was not her fault, she was able to get me keys to my actual room and she was polite through the entire process.No issues with the new room other than the walls are super thin you can hear everything conversations, kids jumping upstairs, kids running in the halls very early.

This w... read more The staff was very friendly. When I called downstairs, my requests were answered within minutes. They gave great advice on where to eat, shop, and visit. This will definitely be our family hotel for future visits to Alabama.Nearby activities: Everything was convenient.Safety: Hotel was secure.Walkability: Many choices within walking distance.

We found glass on the floor and my baby almost ate it. The smell also was very stale. Not what I expected staying from a hotel like this. Definitely won’t be staying here again.
