The setting was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The only reason I deducted a star was that we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip on top of the already included 10% service charge, which felt a bit awkward. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!

Beautiful old English pub with a long and interesting history in a quintessentially British setting. The Stag's Sunday roast was spot on, cauliflower cheese was possibly the best I've experienced, the ambience was in step with the food. Our servers were switched on, lovely and attentive. The whole experience made my Mum's 80th birthday weekend a memorable one. The Stag does Mentmore proud even better that it's a community owned venture. I'll be back.... Our go-to destination for a Sunday roast. Great food, reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful too! Parking: There's a few spaces out the front of the pub, and plenty of additional free parking along the road.
