China Wok - Buckhannon

I had a delicious meal at this Chinese restaurant in Buckhannon! I ordered the Bourbon chicken for lunch, which was excellent served with fried rice. It was very flavorful and definitely a favorite of mine. I also tried the orange chicken, which was freshly cooked and not overly sweet. It had real pieces of orange peel in the sauce. We dined in the restaurant and while the atmosphere wasn't anything special, the food was really good!

It's Chinese food. Eat there regularly. Nothing great and no complaints.

The Dine in with sweet and acidic chicken and white rice is dopeeee. It is so crispy and plus the sauce with the chicken is a taste explosion! The sauce on white rice is so much taste! I recommend it defiant in dine as it is the most beautiful in this place. It wasn't good in WV!

This is the only Chinese restaurant in Buckhannon as of June 2021, but the food is always made fresh each day and I really like it! The General Tso’s Chicken is my favorite dish and I love the white steamed rice. Listen, their Egg Rolls are INSANE! They’re DOUBLE the regular size of anywhere else and they’re like $1.80. Cheese Wantons are different here, not bad but the cheese is somewhat different from the usual cream cheese flavor. Very good Sweet Sour Sauce and very good Fried Rice! Try it with the brown sauce, it’s the perfect compliment to the fried rice!

I have always been curious about China Wok and wondered if it was related to the old China Wok in Elkins. Finally had the chance to try it and the food was disappointing. The lunch buffet was lacking in options and the cheese wontons were sour and discolored. The broccoli in the chicken broccoli dish was tough and undercooked. Some of the food my wife got was even cold. Even the jello was not good. The General Tso's chicken was alright, but couldn't make up for the overall experience. I have been to many Chinese restaurants, but this was the worst. The service was also poor, with no one checking on customers or offering refills on drinks. I hope someone from the restaurant sees this and considers improving the food and service. For good Chinese food, I recommend going to Clarksburg or Elkins.
