I was looking for somewhere to eat in central Bucharest and am so glad I found this place: it's dead central, dirt cheap and totally delicious. The decor is stylish, the interior cosy and the staff are charming and so much better than people working in most Romanian restaurants. This place should be used as a case study for good business practice; as well as the above the two soups I tried (lentil and veg) were so incredibly delicious that I had to have a third portion. I also found out their secret ingredient for the lentil soup; where does that sour taste come from? The answer was lemon juice.
Rings off, gentlemen! SoupUp's like this: you GetUp, Soup/SaladUp, then WakeUp; the food's really energizing, always 4/6 vegan soup choices, 2/4 vegan salad choices, the rest being either raw-vegan or vegetarian. The sweets are raw-vegan, the cold-pressed juices the same; good, fresh ingredients low in salt, almost no gluten, except for the one grain-based salad. All dishes have a low amount of olive oil. Something tells me that Sauron was a vegan, because when I get my rings back on they glow, imbued with energy
Tasty soup, although it could be hotter. If you get take-out make sure to grab some salt pepper sachets, because the soups aren't seasoned heavily. Some nice cold salad options too. The bloke serving is very friendly.
Excellent food massive portions. Vegan and vegetarian although most food offered when I visited was vegan (super awesome). Had a delicious mushroom soup and macaroni veggie salad. So much food! Perfect for the hungry vegan. We were allowed to sample the soup before purchase which was really nice. Great server too. So friendly and helpful.
