I was really looking forward to eating here, as this restaurant has been very hyped lately. The location, atmosphere and vibe are absolutely flawless. However, the restaurant is lacking in terms of food and service. Food was good, but not amazing or super flavorful as you might expect. It was rather decent so compared to the very high prices overall not worth it. I enjoyed the Signature Cocktails more than the food, actually and I do recommend them, however the alcohol in them is almost non existent so you won’t actually taste it that much! Ecuador and Spiced dream were absolutely flawless. Mocktails equally good. Regarding the service this was the main problem. Very poor service on several levels. When we arrived (with prior reservation done) we were seated in the room downstairs that was fully crowded, right in the doorway, tight space and quite bland in terms of design. I went to the bathroom and went upstairs to see the infamous nepalese room with a long table (assuming they had seated us basically in the worst possible location in the door as upstairs was full). I was shocked to see that upstairs was almost completely empty and asked to be moved there. They first hesitated trying to justify reservations that had not arrived yet but managed to find a table. We were moved upstairs and stayed up until closure the flood did not even get 50% full with reservations, plenty of empty tables and seating left! They simply seat you downstairs although it’s super full and upstairs it’s empty because it’s more convenient for them like that as the kitchen is downstairs and they just don’t feel like going with service using the stairway. So they are more than willing to give you an uncomfortable or less than ideal experience just for their own comfort or laziness Another issue with service was that last order for drinks was 15 minutes before the restaurant closes which they do not announce! So we basically bought expensive cocktails just for the staff to come to us after 5 7 minutes and tell us we have to leave. We barely got to take a sip out of those 40 lei cocktails (8 euro) that we basically had to abandon on the table and we were forced to leave without pre announced closure. Why did they even let us order since they knew they were closing in 15 minutes? Overall great location, mediocre food, high prices and bad service didn’t hate it, but will probably avoid coming back there. Not something to take note of or become a regular for, not authentic and not a good price-quality ratio the food is blunt, the same sauce and same composition in all meals, the only difference lies in chicken or pork the service is as basic as it gets, not bad, not great the vibe of the place is nice but enforces no experience Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: lei 80–100 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
I recently tried MoMo, a Nepalese restaurant in Bucharest, and loved it! The place feels cozy and welcoming, with wooden decor and comfy cushions. The momos (dumplings) were amazing! I tried the steamed chicken momos and they were delicious. The staff was friendly and quick, even though it was busy. If you’re looking for something different and delicious in Bucharest, definitely give MoMo a try!
