What User doesn't like about La Porcu' Rasfatat:
Well, I didn't go there, but we have ordered some food delivery. For 160 lei we have received a raw Trout, and some really bad mutton. And how did they managed to make so bitter rice and vegetable, I'll never know. All in all, I'm not ordering from them any more. View all feedback.

Until you go to La Porcu' Rasfatat, you don't know what you're missing in Romanian food -- which is a lot. For about the same price as the mass production places, you'll get the real thing. Ciorba (soup) is the fast version of bors, which gets its tartness from slow preparation with wheat bran. The pork is similarly cooked for hours. If you're from the States, you can skip the short ribs -- Americans do them better... But everything else is done to perfection. The service was impeccable. Non-smoking hall is separate. Well worth the short taxi drive from the tourist trap area. The restaurant is relatively new, and few people know about it. It's time to spread the word!
Great food, based on traditional Romanian recipes: we had the pork knuckle and "ciorba de perisoare", both were very good, real home-made quality and attention. you can also order through caserola.ro and get the food delivered at home
La Porcu' Rasfatat (At the Spoiled Pig) was our last hope after roaming through snow from Dacia Blvd. towards Magheru, hungry as hell and just as angry. It was Saturday evening and all restaurants we went to asked for reservation (we were only 2 people). Anyway, after a few rude feedbacks and way too much snow and hunger we landed here. Quiet, warmth, smiling hostess, relaxing music. Amazingly, unlike other places, she had no problem with our lacking reservation... Placed us in the smokers room (as asked) and brought one of the best meals I've had in that winter (2013). I ordered ribs and my boyfriend had some outlaw-ish pastrami in a pan. I don't know if it was the hunger, the snow or simply nice attitude and good food in contrast with what we had earlier... but we did feel like 2 spoiled pigs after this. I also appreciate the location (Maria Rosetti area). It is close to Romana and Universitate and it was worth the walk. There I found for the first time one of my favorite beers: Zaganu (artisan made). How could I not love the place!? Feel free to try it if you crave traditional Romanian food, cooked better than anything you find in all tourist traps.
