I was very disapointed two times a Dobos cake very old with butter and some hard plates, second L'amour du chocolate with some chocolate cream and jam. I'm not coming back at all.
This is a beautiful little place to get a cup of coffee and maybe a little sweet snack. It is small and cozy and the service was friendly. A beautiful place to stop when in the area.
When I was very young, my mother bought me a cake. I was often in Bucharest and find very good places for good cakes this visit I decided to visit the legend and I was very dismayed I was really sad! You don't know to treat customers, the coffin is served in plastic glass and the cake I taste was really bad! You are in a new place where you can drink coffe- Bulevardul Nicolae Balcescu 31 Bucharest
You order sugar free (they advertise that they have candy) and get something else that brings you to the hospital. No excuses, no repair. The prices are also high for regular products, the special even higher and the quality does not fit. And customer service is miserable. So many better opportunities in this city and a shame for a tradition went very wrong.
We visited the restaurant here on a number of occasions trying to imagine it in the past. It is wonderfully redolent of days gone by and although we recognise that it has lost its glory we were not as disappointed as some of the reviewers. The waiting staff were courteous and attentive. The menu was limited but all the food we had was not only freshly prepared but attractively presented. Their house wine was decent at a good price and the food was good value for money. We had the same treatment whether we had a multi-course dinner or only coffee and cakes or even a beer. Sunday lunchtime we had fellow diners but for most of the time sadly there were only two or three other people in and I can see that the lack of a 'buzz ' is disappointing. It would be sad to lose it because people stayed away. Go and use your imagination!
