The current menu is a tentative fusion of Portuguese and Romanian, bringing vaguely familiar tastes with a funny twist. The serving cadence was perfect. A decent drinks menu wine list, with space for improvement. The ambience in particular the recently restored marble hall is superb, and the main reason for our visit. The dinner was a symphony of flavors, textures, and artistry – each course executed with precision, creativity, and the unmistakable finesse of Michelin- 2 starred mastery of Chef David Martin. The wine pairings elevated the experience beautifully, while the service was nothing short of flawless: gracious, attentive, and effortlessly refined. What impressed me most was not only the perfection on the plate, but the way era has positioned itself as a new beacon of haute cuisine and luxury hospitality in the city. This inaugural Michelin dinner felt like the beginning of a new chapter for Bucharest’s culinary scene – one that sets a standard of excellence and sophistication on par with the world’s greatest capitals.
