Mariscos & Grill Los Parra - Bucerías

I return each visit now. Always get great service in a comfortable atmosphere. And then comes a the meal. It beats any we have had as a convenient, casual meal. And the price hasn't been beat. Don't be afraid to walk up those steps and enjoy a great meal.

Place is nice. Make sure to be seated on the second floor. Food is good. Big portions. After eating their appetizers, and avocado guacamole dip, the seafood platter was plenty for 4 people. The waiter wanted to decide when to bring more food without asking us. Don't allow it, you'll spend much more money if they'll do it. We saw it first hands.

We bumped into Mariscos & Grill after checking out the many beach restaurant options and finding them too loud with too many overly inebriated patrons. This restaurant is one block off of the beach and is close to the large outdoor market. There is a lot of competition for diners and most all of the restaurants have someone beckoning you in. We were warmly greeted and seated by the owner. It's a small place that isn't fancy but the food was wonderful, well prepared and presented. I had the shrimp diablo that was spicy and terrific and my husband had shrimp in some sort of cream sauce that he liked very well.The vegetables were good. I had overheard another patron commenting about how great the diablo was and that was enough of a recommendation for my taste buds. I think this is a new restaurant and I hope they do well. They certainly have their hearts into this and could not have been more welcoming. They were happy to accomodate us in any way. I had a wonderful margarita there, too but didn't have room for dessert.

This place has only been open less than 2 months. The chef apparently has a lot of experience. He suggested the creamed shrimp with vegetables. We liked it a lot and will return. Hopefully others will check it out also

The service was first rate. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The meal was well presented and delicious, everything (fish, vegetables and rice) cooked to perfection (I'd like to get the recipe for the rice) Although not on the beach, it's proximity to the activity of the street makes the restaurant an entertaining experience.
