I didn't see the place inside because we had dinner outside. with great wonder to dine in fivilú I rediscovered ancient flavors and a practically Italian cuisine. all remembered the flavors of things cooked by my grandmother, meatballs, incredible! made again with garlic parsley and Parmesan, better than me. a small goto of tripod, which was a show, fried pizza for no fat, ham figs and cheese. in short, more than satisfactory. friendly and helpful staff, the owner a very particular person but at the same time sketch and sincere. a real teaser, not as I read about other reviews. for those who really want to eat the typical Abruzzo cuisine I highly recommend going to eat from fivilú.
I returned after a long time and the quality and quantity are unchanged! everything strictly done in the house. for the small amount of 25 euros per head we literally fucked! not to mention the sympathy of the days and those who served us at the table. Good!
We had a truly memorable meal here in December 2013 with a huge number of family and friends. The hosts were welcoming and the food just kept on coming! It is difficult to highlight any one dish but the traditional lamb skewers (arrosticini) are hard to beat. The lighting could be more romantic (I love low light and hate fluoro) but that would be my ONLY suggestion. This family-run establishment was one of the culinary highlights of our trip.
We found a typical rural environment, with the fireplace lit, tables laden with bright checkered tablecloths, the starters already prepared: fresh fava beans, pecorino cheese, ham and sausages. but the real surprise was the tripe, cooked with a fragrant tomato sauce and bay leaves. do not miss the tagliatelle in tomato sauce with meatballs, prepared by Gianni' wiife Rossella, all made in house, as it was once. well the chocolate cake. to improve the wine.warm and cozy, thanks to the friendliness of the owners.
