The standout dish is a homemade vegan white bean burger, which guests found satisfying despite some missed customizations. Patrons also rave about the flavorful rice and veggie Sherpa dish and hummus appetizer. The riverside location enhances the experience, providing a picturesque backdrop for diners. Excellent service complements the decent food offerings, making this venue a notable stop for hungry adventurers. Overall, it’s a pleasant surprise in Bryson City, with enough variety to merit a return visit.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan burger on the menu. The burger was tasty, although not outstanding. Overall, the experience was decent and I was happy to have a good meal option in Bryson City. I would definitely consider dining here again in the future, as it seems like one of the better restaurant choices in the area.
After two weeks of walking on the appalachian trail and eating only trailfood, I was ecstatic to see a vegan burger on the menu when I came through the noc! the burger itself was mediocre, but they can add veggie as bananenpfeffer to improve the taste. Unfortunately, the bananenpfeffer I ordered were not on the burger, and there was a bag mayo in my togo box. the pommes were good. her black bean chili is definitiw vegetarian, possibly vegan. I tried to ask the hostes about it, but they did not seem very knowledgeable on the difference between vegetarian and vegan.
This is a fantastic location in the nantahala outdoor center. I have to watch kajaker, rafter and fast water rescue training. my meal was the vegan burger and I got the hummus appetizer to go. the vegan burger was excellent, but served on a white roll. the hummus was delicious. all parts were large. great service.
As the other reviewer said it was a relief, vegan options at noc have. they have a homemade vegan white bohnenburger, which was quite good, as well as a rice and veggie sherpa dish. it was nice to sit outside beside the river, and I was very happy that there was a filling vegan option. their fries and perpetrators were great. that is the place where they pay more than the food for the sake of purpose, but it was worth it. also the personal was really nice. since I was here all day, I was also pleased to find a vegan option (except salat) on the other side of the river at the wesser bbq grill, the snack bar-style outdoor restaurant also part of the outdoor center. I had a veggie and hummus wrap that was not special but the trick. updated by the previous review on 2016-07-18
What a relief it was to find this restaurant. I love the Smoky Mountains and Nantahala River area, but dining options are very limited for vegans and vegetarians. I am a vegan and my husband is a vegetarian, and we were very pleasantly surprised to find several vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Our server was also very accommodating in making sure our meals were vegan-friendly. The food was very good, and the view of the Nantahala River was beautiful.
