Food was delicious (we got pizzas) and it's in a great spot. The cashier had a good (dry) sense of humor. It's just an ordering stand that you pick your food up from, like fast food minus the drive thru. So no one waits on you or checks on anyone in the dining area. Bathroom was very clean! What Scott Wharton doesn't like about Canyon Diner:
My wife and I ate here because it was next to our hotel. Her and I would give it a D- if we could grade it. We got a 15 inch pepperoni pizza and a salad for $31. The salad had a few slimy pieces in it, which means it was old. The pizza wasn't bad, but wasn't any good either. We both agreed that a frozed Red Baron pizza or Little Caesars tastes better. The pizza place in Tropic is WAY better. View all feedback.
The food was tasty (we ordered pizzas) and the location is fantastic. The cashier had a great (dry) sense of humor. It's essentially a takeout stand where you pick up your food, similar to fast food but without a drive-thru. There’s no table service or anyone checking in on guests in the dining area. On a positive note, the restroom was very clean!
My wife and I chose this restaurant because it was conveniently located next to our hotel. If we could give it a grade, we would give it a D-. We ordered a 15-inch pepperoni pizza and a salad for $31. Unfortunately, the salad had some slimy pieces, indicating it wasn't fresh. The pizza was okay, but nothing special. We both agreed that a frozen Red Baron pizza or a Little Caesars pizza would taste better. The pizza place in Tropic is significantly better.
Great refueling stop after a long day at Bryce Canyon. Staff was super friendly and hilarious. Place was clean and offered tourist brochures at the entrance. It's also located right across the street from this cool old western-themed plaza. Great area to unwind after a hefty hike. 10/10 would recommend.
A fast food option. We had the personal pan pizza and enjoyed dining on the patio since we had our dogs with us. It was late in the evening, so the veggie pizza appeared a bit dark. Although it wasn't freshly made, it still tasted good.
This was a poor experience on two ends. The staff were unfriendly and seemed angry to be there. The food was bland and had no flavor. We ordered a burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, fries, onion rings, and a pizza. The only item that had any flavor was the pizza. Only order the pizza, don't expect much, and you should be fine.
