Marre des sempiternel restaurants asiatique, avec une carte à extensionllonge sur 10 pages. Yi Chan modernizes Asian cuisine (Vietnamian more precisely. And it feels as soon as we push the door. They don’t start hiring a real bartender (presented in the evening only, he creates cocktails based on homemade alcohol. Japanese Whisky, the Yi Chan restaurant has an impressive collection. The menu is simple, some dishes, some entries, Phô soups of course, and some dishes. And especially Chinese ravioli, the famous Dim Sum. This choice of a reduced card is paid, allowing the Yi Chan restaurant to work only with fresh products. The Dim Sum are made as it goes and guaranteed without glutamate ( taste exhauster). The restaurant Yi Chan, offers two versions of Beef Phô: a classic version and a Phô Aged Beef with Holstein beef maturation 5 weeks. The broth is served separately so that everyone chooses to cook. The Holstein is the best thing about maturing beef, it's my favorite meat. It comes from the famous Flemish butcher Hendrik Dierendonck, recently installed in Brussels. The prices are quite democratic, even in the low range. The customer of the restaurant Yi Chan and has 70% Asian (a quality gage In short I liked
This restaurant is fantastic! I have been traveling for nearly 5 months (mostly around Europe) and this is the best Asian food I have come across. As a Vietnamese person, this is really saying something! Plus, the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming.
"This place in Brussels serves the best Asian food. The ambience is great, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the location is lovely."
Yummy cocktails and dimsum. Understaffed, long waits. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner
Absolutely love this place! Yichan is without a doubt one of my favorite spots in Brussels. The xiaolongbao are a must, delicate, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. Their Peking duck is also incredibly well-executed: crispy skin, tender meat, and beautifully served. What truly sets Yichan apart is their cocktail experience. Their drinks are bold, creative, and show real mixology talent. I recently discovered their speakeasy, and I was blown away!! the way they reinvent cocktails is just next-level. You can really tell they put thought and heart into every detail. Huge shoutout to the team: always welcoming, professional, and on point especially Herbert, Audrey, Diane, who consistently deliver top-tier service. And of course, kudos to the owner, Yen, for creating such a unique and high-quality dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
