Really delicious and tasty! The dishes are worth the requested prices and the restaurant setting is very nice. It’s the kind of restaurant we’re leaving and we’re told that we’ve really eaten well... To test: View all feedback.
What Thomas V doesn't like about Le Selecto:
The restaurant offers a great selection of dishes and wines in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is varied, making it difficult to choose. I started with ravioli filled with poultry, veal kidneys, and mushrooms in a creamy sauce with hazelnut oil. It was delicious but a bit large for a starter. For my main, I had the slow-cooked lamb shoulder with black eyed peas stew, cooked to perfection. The dessert was a rustic haze... View all feedback.
We enjoyed a nice dinner at Selecto. The atmosphere is very charming, and the service was friendly but slow. We did staters and entrees, no dessert. My husband had the artichoke and I had the stuffed peppers to start. Both dishes were good but the artichoke stole the show. For entrees, I enjoyed the poultry and it was very good but not exciting. My husband had the prawns on white asparagus and found it good as well. The wine list was expensive and we chose one based on a fun name that turned out to be good. The wait staff spoke limited English but were helpful in assisting us with our selections. They have an English menu available as well.
We opted for the 39€ set menu at this restaurant. Our party of six requested the chef choose the same dish for all of us. It turned out to be a great decision, as each plate was of excellent quality! The restaurant was a bit noisy, but the overall atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. We also had the chef select the wines for us, which proved to be another excellent choice, although slightly on the pricey side. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This is my favorite spot in Brussels. The food and wine selection are fantastic, the service is excellent, especially the sommelier who gives great recommendations. The ambiance is so inviting, you'll want to stay all night. If it's just the two of you, you can request to sit at the counter with a clear view of the kitchen.
Restaurant well located, two steps from the city center. The food is on a high level tasty, beautifully prepared with gourmet flavors. Nice wine, atmosphere. The only minus is lack of air conditioning. I was there in a very hot day and that disturbed a bit the whole experience. Apart from that, all awesome.
Service is the worst!! Takes along time to order and waited forever to get our meals. Drinks and coffee order cannot be taken at the same time.
