Izaka-ya - Brussel Centrum

Only my visit, but despite the richness of the map and the quality of the dishes, I am disappointed by the place: extremely noisy, tight tables, back door opened almost permanently, but especially by a mediocre service. all this in view of prices that are not really given there will be no experience.

I've known the izakaya for more years and we're going there a year. This restaurant has never disappointed us, for it remains faithful to itself and to the Japanese spirit. When you go there at noon, you have to have put your mind in cooked lunch mode and servers are working ants that don't have time to make curves and try to satisfy most of the people who are in lunch break or business lunch. It's different at night. the atmosphere and activity of the staff is more in bee mode. It works, always as much, it takes only a little respite, but the smiles are already more relaxed. Yes, you sometimes have to wait a long time between the dishes, or sometimes you have the impression that you have barely finished your entrance that the dish is already on the table, you don't have time to blow. But we, when we go, it's in the spirit of having a good evening, Zen from our point of view. we prefer to wait a little more between the dishes and enjoy this typical atmosphere rather than go out too fast and say shame, it is already over we know a lot of Japanese restaurants (or pretend to be) being big fans of Japanese cuisine and their culture, we clearly advise it to people with children. but the izakaya will always have a privileged place for us in the list of our favorite restaurant as it leaves the lot in many respects. It is especially necessary to enter by leaving its European spirit on the doorstep and to travel the space of an evening.

I find this small restaurant very pleasant, ambience point of view, but also for traditional dishes simply very good to taste. a recommend for couples but also for outings between friends or even colleagues.

Dishes of good quality and great freshness but rather expensive. Big eaters smoke because you will resort places with a big desire to take you a pack of fries within meters. Attention, abligatory reservation because the restaurant is often crowded.
