Louisiana Bayou Bistro - Brusly

OMGOSH...Excellent Buffet! I also ordered a Hamburger Steak to bring home to my husband for dinner tonight. I ordered the grilled mushrooms, onions and the gravy on the side. Unfortunately, they forgot to add the mushrooms and onions.

Had the seafood platter and it was great and staff was very accommodating even took our picture in front of the Mardi Gras tree! Most def coming back! Want to see dat Sunday buffet!

Definitely not how I remembered. We visited last Friday evening. I wasn't aware that the buffet was only during certain times. Cool either way so we decided to dine-in. The food was mediocre at best. For appetizers we ordered bbq wings, cheese stick, and boudin balls. Nothing to write home about. Wings had a decent flavor but not enough sauce. The sauce was hit or miss. On top of that it we only received all drums/leg portion. There was not 1 flap. The cheese inside the mozzarella sticks was very smoothe which I liked. Other than that they nor the marinara sauce were very flavorful. The boudin balls were just okay. None of the appetizers we ordered were good enough tonsay I would order again. The cost is a bit on the pricey side for the appetizers and the portions were not enough for the price boudin balls cheese sticks). Also, apparently the night we went it was all you can eat fried shrimp but we weren't made aware. I heard another server informing her table. For entrees we ordered hamburger steak with two sides, and fried shrimp platter with two sides. The hamburger steak was exceptionally good and seasoned very well. However the brown gravy that was used on top of it and the rice black labor tremendously. The mustard greens were decent as well. The fried shrimp were good. However, the plate did not include a double side of fries like requested it was more like a single order. I can't speak on the buffet since we did not have the opportunity to try it. Straddling the fence to determine whether or not we should go back just to try that part.

We had a birthday party there. The food was amazing! The service was amazing! The decor was lovely inviting. I miss coming here but unfortunately I moved an hour away. Omg.... well everytime I come to visit mother in law I'll stop by here. Thanks guys!!

Only giving a 4 because I realize I am not an “all fried foods” fan. I suppose if you know what good fried oysters taste like, you probably like them, but I prefer raw.. other than that, food was good, service was great.
