I went last night with my 3 other colleges working for dinner and we were simply amazed with the recipe, the food presentation and the whole ambiente of ge’ez. we really felt that we were in Ethiopia. we will definitely come back with more friends. thank you for everything last night. upon arrival, the staff could have been faster responding, our table was not yet ready. The glass of wine was off, they need to keep track of how long bottles are open the food arrived in good time, but was cold, the meat was cold too the portions were very small, we questioned that we'd ordered platter for 2 not 1, but were told that was for 2, so was very overpriced A glass of wine was charged at a higher price tha... Ge’ez was recently renovated (end 2021) and is an even more beautiful place to eat than before. also eating is amazing Ethiopian vegan is always a winner and they have haufen Ethiopian beer.
Ethiopian restaurants are everywhere delicious options for vegans. it is great to see that some new ones appear in the north. Ge’ez on the sydney road has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I tried Ethiopian tee with cardamom, which was a nice alternative to the coffee with my evening meal. we ordered the Veggie cellar for $24 pp and it was colorful and fresh. a lot of tasty dressing including lenses, split scoops, beetroot, kohl, kartoffel, pumpkin. each dish unique and delicious. also the dressur on the side salad tasted particularly good. on bubbly injera, slightly sour from the fermentation process. my favorite part is the injera at the bottom, which softens all delicious juices from the wits. in any case they go to check it when they are in a bit of an edgy and feel like it change.
Excellent small restaurant in the heart of brunswick. eating is delicious, beautiful, helpful and friendly staff. recommend the samosas, the selection of sweet dishes and the Ethiopian coffee.
Absolutely nice eating. we shared a meat plate and vegetarian plate with the Ethiopian tee. it was a beautiful experience. great service. would recommend it and come back!
A hidden gem. the food loved and the service was great. highly recommended.
