What User doesn't like about Nakorn Thai Cuisine:
not a tonne vegan options in the opposite so was excited when I saw that it was available thai. they were able to make the pad thai vegan as well as some other dinge. everything about the court was decent except the tofu. They did not show it any love (season) and it was just steamed as in the ground taste as I would taste the bottom of my jordan’s. that said I will try something else today and be sure to ask for man... This is a wonderful restaurant. Two siblings, Ben and Ellie served everyone so inviting. They were very accommodating and a vegan couple sitting behind us. The tofu with cashews and the basil tofu dishes were both delicious.
I ordered the Volcano Tofu, and it was excellent! Be careful with ordering any other dishes though, because they use oyster sauce in everything except this dish and the Pad Thai. The Volcano Tofu was a bit expensive too, but it's a good size to share or keep for leftovers.
Nakorn was our savior for a quick, off the highway vegan meal. Our entire road trip lead us to places further from the highway. This was hardly a couple minutes. Food was ready within 15 minutes, so we stopped for a bathroom break at the rest stop before the exit (southbound I 95). We got the Thai basil rice with tofu (no egg) and Pad Si Ew flat rice noodles with tofu (no egg). All menu items available with tofu as the protein. Reasonable prices and AMAZING food. This will be a mandatory stop on all our future East coast road trips!
We came here and were very satisfied with the authenticity of the food. The prices were very fair, and the staff is friendly! Will definitely return.
Not a ton of vegan options in the area so was excited when I saw that Thai was available. They were able to make the pad Thai vegan as well as some other things. Everything about the court was decent except the tofu. They showed it no love (season) and it was just steamed as much as I would taste the floor of my Jordan's. That said I'm going to try something different today and ask for a lot of sauces. 2.5 star.
