Brugge Burger

I highly recommend Palma Burger (formerly Brugge Burger) for anyone looking for delicious HALAL food in Brugge. The owner is very friendly and the shop has a nice ambiance. The food is really good here.

Yesterday we had lunch at this restaurant and we had a lovely time. So much so I looked it up online, and was puzzled with the amount of bad reviews. Our experience was completely different, we were not lured from the street to eat there, once inside the waiter allowed us to pick the table. The food was freshly cooked and the meat was of quality. The waiter was also very friendly, he asked us where we were from (Portugal), and later on proceed to play portuguese songs. We did not have to wait much time for the food and the restaurant felt very clean. I'd recommend.

I really don’t give out negative reviews. I don’t. I just got a weird vibe from this place. Before I go crazy I have to admit that the one waiter that they had was fairly charismatic. He lured us in on the promise of good service, but I think the language barrier prevented us from having a good time. We ordered 3 pizzas and they thought we ordered two. This ended up causing one of our friends to basically watch us eat for a whole 15 minutes before his food came out. At the end, we asked for them to take one beer off the bill. Instead we got a free beer. It was a slight argument and voices were raised. If you speak French or Flemish like the people from Bruges, this would be an amazing place. But if you are strictly English, look elsewhere.

Clean restaurant overall the food was ok but it seems they raised the prices and forgot to update the menus. I was surprised to pay more than the menu price for the meal.

I can not say i recommend it. Few facts about the place during our visit. The burger was ok although the promised dessert after 20 min of waiting didn't come. They just let us know they are out of desserts and they asked whether coffee is ok. Really disappointed ... There was a little plastic in lasagne . The positive aspects of this place : nice waiters and friendly atmosphere close to the center. Doamne ajută!!!
