Even though a part of our family lives in nearby Lenzburg, this was our very first time to visit the historic Habsburg castle, ancestral place of the famous Austrian Habsburg clan. There is not that much to see in the castle itself, but you can climb up to the top of the tower. Quite a few of the rooms are set up as part of the restaurant and it would be nice to experience a meal here. This time we just came for coffee and dessert. There is quite an enchanting outdoors setting with tables on gravel under the Linden trees with view into the valley, hills and a slice of the Aare river. With the coffees we enjoyed our Rüeblikuchen, the luke-warm chocolate cake with a liquid center as well as the ubiquitous Coup Denmark.
Super personal and fine eating. the whole atmosphere there is great.
Last Friday we were allowed to celebrate the small but fine high-time festival of our daughter and our son-in-law. everything went like a little bit, eating was top and the location anyway. what is... more
