What Jan Buxton doesn't like about Salt Box Cafe:
Well i had not been for over 10years and omg it was awful it felt like the worst meal ever lumps in the mash the roast potato not cooked jeez it used to be brilliant no wonder it was empty. Im not even sure i would give it one star. Nothing warm or hospitable about it. Never again View all feedback. What Michael Plimmer likes about Salt Box Cafe:
The food is very cheap here. It isn't as good as it was 10 years ago but it does the job for those who go there. Very fast service, there's hardly any waiting for your food. View all feedback.

read moreA once-beloved restaurant has taken a turn for the worse, with customers feeling disappointed by the declining quality, unwelcoming atmosphere, and lackluster service. Truck drivers found the customer service at the truck stop to be terrible, with broken showers and subpar food. However, positive reviews praised the reliable, fresh, and reasonably priced food at the establishment, with friendly staff and generous portions. Despite some negative experiences, the café's long-standing reputation in Derbyshire remains intact, drawing in customers with delicious meals and good value. A hidden gem worth a visit, especially for those traveling to the Peak District.
