I have been to this store many times and usually have a coffee and a cake in the cafe but this time we decided to try the deli and we were not disappointed. It's a lovely experience and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We opted for the ploughman's which was lovely (word to the wise the small is plenty big enough) and my friend had the Cesar salad. The lady was preparing the food near to where we were sitting... What coling650 doesn't like about Marks And Spencer Deli:
The service for coffee is hopeless. It was acceptable before they revamped it. Now the wait is unacceptable. The medium coffee is so large, and the cups so inelegant, it's like drinking from a Butler sink.. View all feedback.
I visited the Deli for a quick bite to eat, I ordered the Spainish platter with the Manchego cheese selection and my fiancee the Lamb and Chicken Koftas...very good choices really tasty, a glass of Prosecco topped off our visit. Great food and service.

First visit to newly refurbished Champagne Bar. We had heard good things so really eager to try it for ourselves. There were stools empty so we grabbed two. Only one member of staff on duty who told us there was going to be a wait. She was making two sea food salads in front of us. Eventually serving these she took our order and we received our champagne. As it was by the glass is was painfully measured out in a measuring tumbler to the tightest ml. I noted that later when more staff were working glasses were poured by eye and that seemed fairer and more generous. Quicker to! We sat and watched our Posh Welsh Rabbit be prepared. Let me say the posh bit escapes me as it was thin bread and limited cheese but with the bonus of some pickle. Another waitress appeared and service picked up. To sum up, prepare to wait, do not expect great ground breaking interpretations of traditional dishes and make sure they have enough chilled drinks, they ran out for our order. But... We enjoyed our visit and the staff did what they could, they were short handed but tried to be jolly and pleasant.

Just a few thoughts here the place has a flat ceiling so very noisy the menu is just jacket potatoes and salad so not great I had a black iced coffee which is exactly what it was a black coffee with ice pretty disgusting The place needs a lot of work for me to go there more than once
