A little fat, but the food was good. The restaurant and the toilets were very clean. We arrived at 6:00 for dinner on a Saturday, the back area was closed for a party, a few dinners in the front area. We had a pleasant dinner. Ask question... View all feedback.
When I’m in Brownsville I always hit up Emilia’s for their authentic mexican breakfast. I love Machacado a la Mexicana con Todo, but with their enormous flour tortillas instead of corn. The Huevos con Chorizo Taco is a monster and super-tasty! Very good prices and a clean establishment. Gringos Beware: It does help to know Spanish here when ordering. But the wait staff here is so patient and will work through any language barrier to get you what you want.
Service was great and the food was even better. We were a large group at lunch and the service never slowed. We will be back!
The food was delicious, although I found it to be a bit rich. Both the restaurant and the restrooms were impeccably clean. We arrived at 6:00 PM on a Saturday, and the back area was closed for a private event, leaving only a few diners in the front section. Overall, we had an enjoyable dinner experience. Very good tasting Mexican food. Was down in the valley and had to stop here for dinner. Very good food. Very good chalupas. In any case, go to this place before 8:00. They close at the top.
The food portions are generous, and the prices on the menu are reasonable. The service is excellent, and your meal comes with soup, drinks, and desserts. I can't praise the home-style cooking enough!
