Delicious meals! We ordered the special which the menu said was $19 but were charged $26. Server said it was an up charge. She probably should?ve mentioned that in advance. Family style meals were delicious. I would have liked to have two pieces of bread instead of just one. Prices were a little high but typical of the area. This was one of our favorite meals though. What User doesn't like about Johnson's Of St. Mary:
Came in on a Sunday after driving through GNP and ordered their special. The fried chicken wasn't served hot. It wasn't very warm when tearing it apart either so I only ate one piece. My favorite part of the meal was the homemade bread that came out with the soup. The soup was a bit salty but still tasty. No complaints on the service, staff was friendly and attentive that day, but I agree that the check in/waiting sy... View all feedback.
Lexie and Tony ? are AMAZING!! We enjoyed the help from these two during check in and selecting hikes and sights for our time in Glacier. The campgrounds are generally well kept. We did have our first grizzly encounter! Apparently he?s a frequentvisitor who likes to just pass through KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: You get shower coins for 6 minute showers one per person, pernight . Thankfully you can skip nights and take a longer shower if you?d like. The water temps aren?t consistent but do getwarm. Some showers will take your coin but give you know time. Happened to me and I overheard someone else have the sameproblem Thankfully you can go back and let them know to get your coins back, but since you only have 6 minutes, you?ll alreadybe naked when you find out it doesn?t work!! So you have to dress back up . . . Really inconvenient. The back shower house isalso mildly maintained. The counter is always soaked, making it hard to set anything down. There?s no paper towels to help thecase. This location was almost always out of soap during our 3 night stay.

My favorite part of the meal was the homemade bread that came out with the soup. The soup was a bit salty but still tasty. No complaints on the service, staff was friendly and attentive that day, but I agree that the check in/waiting system they have going on is a bit odd. I made sure to sit in front of the door to be seen. I will say that had I read the review that was posted a few days prior to my visit, regarding the mocking of Asian accents I would have had lunch elsewhere.
Overall good food but not a great experience. The good: the food was decent, we had the Sunday fried chicken special and the bread, soup, and chicken were all tasty. Large portions as well for $22 a person, which is slightly pricey but realistic for the area. Additionally, the servers were friendly and attentive once seated. The bad: be prepared for a bit of a wait?or not. The waiting system is strange and inconsistent. We wrote our names down for a party of 2 (no one gives you an actual time estimate to be seated). Two other parties of 2 were seated before us, and after about 25 min, another party of 4 showed up and put their names down ? they were seated instantly. Obviously looking confused, the waiter let us know they had to wait for a smaller table to open up in order to seat us. About 10 minutes later we were seated at a table of 4, and noticed the party of 4 was seated at a table of 5 which made no sense. We could have been seated 35 minutes earlier at the table of 5, and the party of 4 could have been seated at another table (there were plenty of other larger tables available). It just made no sense for them to wait that long when they had the capability of seating and serving us. Additionally, they were still only serving their lunch menu rather than their dinner menu they advertised online at dinner time which we didn?t know until we sat down. The ugly: during our meal, the employees were talking on the other side of the restaurant, and we overhead one openly mocking people with Asian accents. This last part is seriously not acceptable.
