Was Anonym at Trapps a mag?
This was our first time visiting Trapp's and it definitely won't be our last. Everything was fantastic! Our server, Mackenzie (apologies if misspelled), was wonderful and very attentive. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Trapps:
we were a party of 5. all have left their food on the table. everything was greedy and overcooked and the half of the food was so salty that it could not be eaten and the other half was bland. the restaurant is unbearable loud and the seating is uncomfortable. the service was not better. The person calling out numbers for bingo was very friendly, entertaining, and patient! I had a great time and will definitely return. The food was also delicious – thank you Claire for taking care of us!
This restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is exceptional. One of the owners has a great sense of humor, always cracking jokes that keep everyone laughing. I highly recommend this place to everyone, it's definitely worth a visit.
People come here for the live music and that's pretty much it. The food unfortunately is overpriced and just meh. If you're looking for a place to grab drinks and hang out with friends while listening to live music you really can't go wrong with Trapps. It's big enough to accommodate lots of people but small enough to feel intimate and have a conversation without shouting. If you must order food, stick with something basic and cheap (think appetizers) and you might not be disappointed. Don't expect this to be a great dining experience even though you're in Acadiana.
The service at this restaurant deserves 5 stars. The staff was quick to greet us and deliver our drinks to the table. However, the food did not live up to expectations, earning only 1 star. The fried pickles appetizer was well-proportioned but overly salty. The catfish filets were small, the broccoli and cheese seemed microwaved, and everything was heavily salted. Despite the decent etouffe on top of the catfish, the overall dish was too salty. The blackened catfish tasted oily and salty, but the fire roasted corn was surprisingly good. The Bloody Mary was decent, according to my wife. We only noticed the hiring sign for kitchen help as we were leaving, a clear sign of the restaurant's issues. As Bill Engvall used to say, "Here's your sign." I should have paid more attention to warning signs like that.
