My family and I had the BEST time here! The dogs are adorable of course, but the service and food are amazing !!!!!!!! Such a fun experience : there was a dog having a 9th birthday party and her dad offered our dog a slice of doggy cake. How sweet. Very fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back View all feedback.
What Eric T doesn't like about Hot Dog Cie:
Food is somewhat OK. Grooming is not good, my dog did not look good at all like in the past. Not sure what happened, but since the administration changed, the service and quality too. View all feedback.
Was in Montreal for the weekend and was brought here for lunch by a friend. This place is unique and I wish they had a place like this in Ottawa. The restaurant is dog friendly. Your dog is able to sit with you inside next to the table. They have their own little area around/near the table and receive a dish of water and blanket to sit on. I had one of their cocktails (Long Island Iced Tea) and it was very delish! Since it was a very hot day it was the perfect drink. I tried some poutine to and that to was very yummy, the gravy was very tasty, fries crunchy and the curds melty. Overall I was very impressed with the whole atmosphere, they even had a bathroom for the doggies! It was a patch of enclosed grass area that they could do their business. If you are ever in the Montreal area and looking for a dog friendly restaurant you should definetly check it out!
A restaurant you can bring your dog to. Their near flawless execution of this unique concept merits at least 4 stars. I really want to give them a 5th, but their (human) food is very disappointing. Thankfully, their breakfast is on par with what's offered at the other breakfast joints in the area.

My mom was in town for a couple of days and I was eager to show her the famous restaurant where you can bring your dog. Upon arrival, I put my very energetic dog in the park so he can play and me and my family sit where we can look at him on the camera during dinner. Mom and her hubby order beef tenderloin and I order a burger. both the cooking for the tenderloins were waaaaaaay off than what was ordered (mom ordered raw and hubby ordered blue, they both got well cooked. As for my burger, it tasted like cardboard (mom and hubby tasted it too), and when I told the waiter, he just took my plate without an excuse or nothing, and offered nothing else, and I paid the full price. Dessert didn't taste like it was fresh either. As for my dog, we watch the poor little guy trying to get the dude in the park to play with him (as I paid for because the park isn't free even if you eat there), but the said dude was sitting on a bench in the park scrolling on his cell phone for the whole hour, completely ignoring dogs and even push back my dog like he was annoying just because he wanted to play. Never again, I prefer to eat at home where my meat is cooked perfectly and my dog is cared for.
We visited this restaurant based on reviews from fellow dog parents. After a few days of traveling with our dog in Montreal this was such a delight to have a place where our dog is welcome. They have a dog menu in addition to a doggy seat at the table. They also have a play area where your dog can play while you eat. Mine was content sitting with us this we didn't get to use to play area. They also offer grooming and have a doggy restroom as well. There are large screens for you to see the playroom activities as you eat. There is also a person in the playroom to play with and monitor behavior the whole time. The food here was better than expected and prices are fair. They keep this place exceptionally clean considering how many dogs enter and leave this establishment daily. I highly recommend this restaurant to any and all dog families if you're tired of sitting outdoors just to have a meal with your dog.
